Many seem to fail, especially in times of difficulties. When the pressure mounts on, you seem to channel all your energies, to what that is troubling you. You are not resourceful in finding ways and means to overcome the issues.
This is especially tough, when you may lose someone, you depend on very much. They were there whenever you hit rock bottom, giving you a boost, lending their shoulder, for you to cry on. Then there some, failing without care or consideration. They treat the person that they are depending on for financial benefits, especially whenever they run short of cash, as their personal banker. Perhaps, in current times, quite often you may hear someone saying, “ You do not understand my difficulty; I am not as strong and determined as you are “.
No one wants to be in any sort of difficulty. If wishful thinking takes priority in these instances, everyone just wants what they see in others, especially people living in comfort. Their wish list includes, luxurious lifestyle, good flow of funds for them to splurge, eat at expensive restaurants and drive fancy cars. In fact, they want to conduct all these activities, if possible, without having to work for it. You would have read news about people winning lotteries by the millions of dollars, yet within less than two years, they end up being broke. Do a Google search on this subject, and you will be shocked to read that more than a third of these winners are declared bankrupt.
Does that mean, most people are capable of being very careless with their sudden surge in income? I believe so. It starts from their derived intent. They want the luxury, at any cost.
For example, when a project is secured by an enterprising company, it becomes a norm where the directors of the company, decide to immediately splurge on luxury brands. In fact, during the Covid-19 pandemic, some business owners devised well planned documentation to get government relief funds, that were meant to pay salaries to their employees. Unfortunately, these funds did not reach the employees, instead, was pocketed by the business owners for their luxurious adventures. When lust and greed overwhelm reasonable judgement and common sense, getting drifted in a path uncontrollably, is the most familiar outcome.
Why resilience? It is the capacity for you to quickly adapt, overcome and resolute yourself. You are someone who does not linger on the difficulties you are experiencing, rather find justified means and ways to which, you can positively overcome the challenges. You will find a moment in time, just to sit somewhere, within your personal space and cry your heart out. Once your tears dry up, you will wipe your face, go and have a fresh shower, take a proper meal and re-energize your mind.
You will start the next moment, feeling optimistic, willfully telling yourself, “ I will surely get over this! Nothing is going to pull me down ”. You have the resilience to do so, as you see the possible outcomes from the paths that you plan to take, from your consistent efforts. You will have possible setbacks, but that’s what makes you better. You value your improvements, frugal yet charitable with your new found wealth. You are someone helpful to lend a hand to others, from your own learnings, seeing the brighter part of life and experiencing it.
Learn quickly to adapt, without patronizing yourself that it is all your fault.
If you did make a mistake, you learn from it and not repeat it again. If you keep falling back on your mistakes, you are not being resilient, but being absolutely ignorant and foolish. Decide on who you are. Invoking your strength from within, needs resilience. If you are not sure about your own strength, seek help to guide you. Just remember, when you are taught to invoke the skills that you have not experienced before, remain humble. These skills will be useful tools for your own growth, and for you to also help others.
Resilience is your call from within your own nature. It is pure, self-energizing and rewarding.
