I am getting you involved in my latest observation that is pondering in my mind. I went to the National Museum recently as I could not remember when was the last time I have been there. I came across displayed potteries that was done in the Neolithic Period, also known as the New Stone Age, about 10,000 to 3,000 BCE. What intrigued me was the shapes of pots that was on display. It looks exactly the same as the designs I have seen being sold at pottery stores. The artwork, pattern and intrinsic shapes, cuts and scoring look so much familiar to current designs.
That brought me to ask this question. Have we evolved any much better over time or are we having a similar mentality as it was before? I am still pondering over this question and have not found an answer to satisfy my curiosity.
There was continuous migration, changes in agriculture and farming, inventions relative to the understanding and demands of the said period of time. Today, after multiple migratory consequences, wars, colonization, revolutions and discovery of newer technologies, we have evolved somehow in adapting to these changes. However, the fundamental characters seem not very far off from 10,000 years ago.
The intellects are claiming that the current world is having climate issues and we need to act on it urgently. If you take a little preview on to the past, the Earth was once fully inhabited by various species. At some point, it fell into an ice-age, which in reality means that the sea level and the volume of water globally had increased over time. The geological factors, including changes in wind directions, gravitations orientation, earth’s angle tilting, sea current flow, atmospheric temperature and pressure, did change significantly. However, at that period of time, the Earth did not have any extensive level of pollution, as registered in the past 100 years.
The ice-age was believed to have ended about 12,000 years ago. The difference between 5 to 10 degrees from the current normal temperature, was believed to have kept the ice frozen in most areas on earth. So, are we heading for another ice-age soon enough? Are the changes we are seeing in our environment, partially with possibility triggered by humans, leading us to another destructive cycle or is it earth’s own preservation of nature?
Are humans so deprived of their knowledge,

that they are eliminating themselves naturally?
This comes to another question. Are we to worry so much about what is happening to this world, getting ourselves, all worked up? Should we take necessary and reasonable actions that are needed, especially removing environment pollutions? Rubbish strewn everywhere, dumped in middle of seas, slums within cities, poor sanitization and water passages look so polluted that fish can no longer live in them. The level of pollution is overwhelming. On reflection, in quite a lot of developed countries that advocates human rights, homeless crisis are currently overwhelms their cities .
It is the year 2021 now, and we all are in the midst of a global Covid-19 pandemic. Whilst we are able to find possible cure with new vaccines, we are still not able to find amicable solutions to live amongst each other within the basic human rights and in harmony. There are countries who convulsively intend to bring war, not peace.
With the availability and access to social media applications, the Covid-19 pandemic has become more like a plague. Not at its degree of infection, but the extend of which brings forward crisis of trust. The advocation of vaccination are faced with naysayers with their conspiracy theories.
Comparatively, a century ago, when Spanish Flu was prevalent, media censorship was placed upon during World War 1. The country that brought the news out was unfortunately named after the pandemic. The devastation back them was enormous, head counts of death was in the millions. Coming to think of it, 100 years later, we are back to similar global pandemic, given a new name as Covid-19. So, are we experiencing these pandemics as a cycle of events that takes place repeatedly over a period of time? If this is true, then, to my earlier question, are we heading to another ice-age again?
What you least expect, will take precedent without your agreement.

I bring forward these issues for you to think with clarity. At the least expected moment, when everything was seemingly going well and fine, the turn of events caused a significant shutdown globally. My blog, ‘Enjoy What You Do‘, did highlight to you that you should take your time, to do things that you enjoy, especially for yourself. The reasons can easily be identified in this blog. We do not know what is to happen tomorrow, but today, we can do something about it. Positive Attitude also reminds you to be sensible.
We hear many individuals and organizations making revolutionary approaches to overcome the challenges of the latest pandemic. Instead of rushing to the office everyday, you are now mostly working from home. Ad-hoc meetings at the client’s place are now replaced with more productive online meetings. The use of QR codes is more prevalent now in placing food orders in restaurants. Cashless transactions are becoming easier with the availability of payment apps, direct debit and contactless payment. Greater initiatives are also taken by major countries for digital currency instead of traditional ones.
Changes will continuously take place, on a daily basis. There is no denial of this. The nature will provide you the adaptive skills, if you are observant enough. It is pointless to keep on worrying about everything around you, especially with the bombardments of news you read. Do what you are able to do, consciously and with determination. Respect this Earth and stop abusing it.
You are the sole master of your destiny, as you see fit.
