Journey with Dalai Lama

Before you think if I am going to preach religion here, let me say, I am not ! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of reading, ” How to See Yourself As You Really Are “, a translated and edited book by Jeffery H.Hopkins, Ph.D. This book was written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, under its original text.

Like anyone who has experienced self-awareness and consciousness, the fulfilment of life journey is comprehending the need of being kind, compassionate and understanding. These qualities are invoked naturally from within, when the depreciation of negativities with its energies sighted and executed effectively.

I am not saying that you will not have anger at any point of time, but you will most probably have the ability to avoid an outburst instead. The conserved energy in uncontrolled anger reverts to generate a more positive approach within yourself, to better reason and even create a disposition within yourself to turn the argument into a constructive discussion. It is all within the possibilities, if you wish to do so.

Permit me to quote from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He said that there is no doubt about our collective progress in many areas, especially science and technology, but somehow our advances in knowledge are not sufficient. Basic human problems remain. He commented that we have not succeeded in bringing about peace or in reducing overall suffering.

There are two types of happiness and suffering: mental and physical. He believe that mental suffering and happiness are more influential than their physical counterparts. His invaluable advise, ” Train the mind as a strategy, to manage suffering and attain a more lasting state of happiness “.

Now, I am not him, but I do have similar understandings, if you have read my earlier motivational blogs. He concluded that humans could bring disastrous consequences to the future of humanity, if the ways we conduct our affairs are left unchecked; failing to be compassionate, just and equitable. Does this sound familiar? Does the initial intent of Black Lives Matter (BLM) comes into your thoughts or to any other nations where social injustice is very much prevalent? Just a quick note to refresh your mind; All Lives Matter.

Happiness is a combination of inner peace,
economic viability and above all, world peace.

Let me just say this from my observation and experience, religion to anyone, is a personal approach to self-seeking and contentment. I am neither an authority to religious propagation, nor am I interested in bringing any religion as part of general discussion. It will be an endless loop of derivatives, inconclusive arguments for some, whilst emotional altruism for others. Unfortunately, one of the major unrests globally, is derived from religious intolerances.

I hope you have read my earlier blogs mentioning the balancing act between mind and body. They both work concurrently, but spearheading the wellness of your mind will help recuperation of your body as well. This is especially beneficial if you have trained your mind to resonate strong will-power. I know this very well from my personal experiences. It is indeed a challenging time when you have or experiencing suffering, but when you are able to visualize coming out of these circumstances, with Positive Attitude, the possibilities are endless.

It is such a simple notion, to do and conduct ourselves within the basic nature of bringing about peace and harmony. Yet it seems to be an impossible task for the world leaders and major countries around the world. The daily badgering of issues, unresolved provocations and relentless act of wars, seems to feed greater passion to destruction instead of harmonious conservation. Let me show you how simple it looks.

I unreservedly agree with His Holiness. If mankind can do anything good for this world; it is firstly to disarm any nuclear and biological weapons from ever being available or being used, ever again. Our past has already determined the current future. Let us determine the future as it should be; in harmony, peace and prosperity.

I know not what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
