Demon of Denial

It is said that there is a demon within us, who deprives you from doing what is right. I agree. It may not be the real demon, but people relate to this quickly.

You have many personal issues, emotional traumas, bad experiences and more. All these are somehow bundled, safely kept somewhere within your mind and body, because both have some form of unfavorable experiences. To add fuel to fire, this demon keeps haunting you. It pleasures from your suffering, distractions and misguidance from leading a better path.

Unfortunately, you keep drowning in the quicksand without any intent to be rescued. Death becomes imminent. Your only hope at this point onwards is that, you will have a better opportunity, if there is a rebirth. If such does not happen, you hope your soul will render its journey to be free of all these burdens and will no longer need to experience your bad karma in this earthly world. Wishful thinking, but none of this is going to help you.

In current reality, you feel yourself being alone. Although you are surrounded by so many people in your daily life, you seem lost.

Friendship is challenged with distrust and lack of confidence. Somehow, even after having enjoyed quality time with some friends, you are able to quickly run back to your cocoon and start brooding again. Your demon is not happy that you are happy. You will need to be miserable, so that it can suck in your negative energies for its substance. Instead of resisting and eliminating the demon, you give in easily without even a fight. The illusive demon is not there, but you have strongly created it within you.

In Art of War, Chapter 6, Sun Tzu said, “ Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight. Whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted ”.  If you are in denial and draining yourself in thoughts of depression, you have left yourself in an unchallenged fight that you can win easily.

No one can actually help you, as you have become your worst enemy. Your demon in fact is so confused, it did not have a real good challenge to overcome your resistance. You just caved in easily.

Medication is not going to help you. Anti-depression pills lead you to more depression than your recovery. You pop pills like taking Tic Tac. There is a high possibility you also have access to sleeping pills. You find consoling moments by taking some medication and going to bed, waking up many hours later, groggy and un-energetic for the next day. There were actually some moments you thought, “ If I can end my life, all this will be over and I do not need to face any of these issues ”.

You are never alone.
You only think that you are.

Loneliness is like white ants eating in your house wooden structures. White ant infestation is hardly noticed until and when you start hearing some weird sound coming from the wood beam. You are shocked and start exploring by knocking the frame. You are tempted to puncture more to find the extend of damage.

Once you realize you have an infestation of white ants in your home, you panic and start calling pest control to fix the problem. You are hoping it’s only this door and not any other places in your house. You know, if you have a major infestation, it is going to cost you a lot of money for the repair works. If you understood this analogy, it is similar to what is happening within you. Externally you look mostly all good, but internally you are rotting away.

I was told that we come to this world alone, live and die also alone. In all three points, none is ever true. Your inception in this beautiful planet Earth, requires the fertilization of an egg by the sperm. Throughout your living, you are governed by your mind and body. When you die, your soul is separated from being mortal. Even at this point, there were two of you. Your body and soul.

If you persist to deny and free yourself from your cocoon, there is nothing much anything I say here will help you.

If you are mentally determined to run and dive into a quicksand, throwing a buoy to help you float is not going to do anything at all. You are so determined to sink yourself.  If put had put all these determination to good use, you would have made such wonderful differences in your life and to everyone else too. Like a pilot flying a plane, the joystick is in your hands. Use wisely.

Why allow the selfish demon dance with you,
when you can dance freely to your happiness and joy.

Make time to meditate. I am not asking you to meditate by seeking for predetermined goals of worldly desires. You mind needs to free of illusive burdens. The trickery mind plays with you can be overwhelming, if you are not careful.

If your mind and body are not in harmony, your natural frequencies are not in equilibrium. The repercussion will probably be that you will not be motivated to execute your successes. Meditate with a free mind, unburdened with any other thoughts except that you are looking for a state of calmness.

That is why breathing slowly, makes a lot of difference in your meditation. Learn to be calm during this process. There is no rush to anything here, only your stability. When you begin to sense your mind and body in a state of calmness, you will be experiencing small tear drops flowing on your cheeks. This is not sadness, but tears of joy that you mind and body reached within itself. Its exhilarating indeed.

As I have said before, your birth has its purpose. It is for you to experience this life with happiness and joy, no matter what the challenges are. Learn to inculcate yourself with Positive Attitude. You are many times stronger than you realize. Don’t deny yourself the happiness that surrounds you.

Invoke yourself from within. The illusive demon has no place within you.
