Whilst the Critical Race Theory (CRT) is being a major issue in some states in the United States of America, the challenge in presenting a subject that introduces the reality of systematic disfunction of past history, stirs the hornet’s nest. For a start, touching the ideology of ‘freedom’ and ‘the rights of people or individual’ that is entrenched in the constitution of some countries, are subject to interpretation.
Legal standings are challenged daily, whether it’s the interpretation, or to the Bill of Rights, that was ratified in 1791. Whilst you may wonder, how in the world, such detailed interpretation and ratification of the constitution was visualized, you can also ponder that after nearly 230 years later, it still remains the foothold of one of the most powerful nation in the world.
What is really the primary issue, that is bothering this dynamic country? Unsettled resentment remains as racism, as it seems, is at the core in some states, whilst freedom and hope are prevalent in others. Unless and when, you are personally there, to experience at first hand of such situation, reading about it over the news channel, is really a subject to interpretation. What started to be in defense of someone accidentally killed in negligence whilst enforcing the law, it became a movement that went on from humble protest to anarchy.
Black Lives Matters (BLM) were making momentum, at the expense of challenging the law, omitting peace and public freedom, whilst threats and destructive force was placed in common areas. Businesses where shutdown, some burned down intentionally, and others were robbed in plain sight. The business owners were only able to sigh in utter disappointment, realizing that their dreams were destroyed in a flash. The manner of protest, that started peacefully, remains questionable. I began to ponder; did it help to make a significant difference or not?
We all have some form of resentment towards the running government. It may be due to the rumble between warring parties, claiming their victorious cause, is for the benefit of the people. Clouded thoughts with uncertainty and disdain, when the poll comes by, the choice to select ‘your champion’ becomes just a decision at that moment of time. The consequences, whichever it may be, will only be seen during the running of the elected government. If you did not jump in the mouth of a bear, you fell into the grip of a python. Both will not lead you to the plights and hopes rendered to have a nation that you will be really proud of. That is the reality and in fact, general politics are the same, around the world.
History is there to educate the current civilization, mainly on the mistakes of the past, so that the future will be a better place for all.

Infighting within nations, are at the expense of their citizen. The dust has never settled, even after hundreds of years. Poverty, extreme corruption, economical downfall, staggering unemployment and instability to basic essentials have caused nations with tradeable natural resources, to seek empathy in borrowings, just to keep their currency afloat. It has reached the point where their money carries no absolute value. It is indeed shocking, traumatizing sometimes and you can easily be in disbelief, thinking that the country you are living in, may also be exposed to similar trauma, if caution and care is not taken.
In my humble opinion, instead of dwelling in subjects relating to racism and the analogy to past mistakes, it will be better to have progressive education in practice of better relationship. Forget talking about race, their origin and historical background in their country. They can learn it in the later part of their life, if they want to major in social studies or history. Schools, being the foundation of any child’s primary experience, should not be segregated by race, ethnicity, religion or social standing. The idea of proving lesser education skills to keep tab of mental growth of any society is like shooting yourself on your own two feet. It is futile.
When general knowledge and constructive education are provided, the mind and body of the recipient, will begin to nurture healthily. Educators should inculcate simple understanding to schooling children, that it does not matter what color of your skin or your ethnicity, you are just as equal of any opportunity to the next person in the class. This is of course a very demanding situation, as the educators, in their own experience to adulthood, had gone through challenging times as well.
Resentment, distrust and deep hatred sometimes work hand-in-hand, contradicting the opportunity to create a better generation to follow. If you do not put a stop to your own negative and derogative thinking, how will you be able to put a stop to the mistakes rendered in the form of social education?
Freedom is not won by merely overthrowing a tyrannical ruler or an oppressive regime. That is usually the prelude to a new tyranny, a new oppression.
Jonathan Sacks
It starts from your home. Give your child the freedom to think better, making their future a better place for all. Challenges will be there, but if you inculcate healthy mental and emotional growth, you will give an opportunity to elevate negative social order. Do not send your children to school, expecting the educators to make a huge difference, if they leave the house, with lesser hope that you have. I agree, that it is your right to fight for equality, but fight for a cause that brings equality for all, not just one.
History has shown, a rebellious but righteous man, had advocated non-violent civil disobedience towards their colonial oppressors. Mahatma Gandhi, marched around 390 km, creating a tsunami of force, that was known as the Salt March. The end results, after so many challenges that he and his followers went through, a nation was reborn, freeing themselves from their oppressive colonial rule. If you take this example, as your reference, creating a non-violent approach to your successful endeavor for the freedom you seek, another reality can take place, at a pace you can really be proud of as a ‘Nation-of-Oneness’.
I know, it is not an easy task, it will never be. However, is freedom for all, can be any much easier to accomplish? Have faith and sincerity in your undertaking. Freedom and oppression need not interrelate, when you have your feet on the ground. I insist that you should free your mind, from the past. Do not dwell in painful moments, as it will become really difficult for you to move forward. Everyone wants change; can you make the first change within yourself?
We all have only one race. It’s called Humanity.
