This topic is probably going to be like a personal journal, that I am more than happy to share with you. I have clearly identified a personality trait within me that does not enjoy the company of someone constantly being negative. I have initially tried to provide them with some positive approaches and suggestions to which they can reflect on themselves.
Their negativity seems to be like blood running in their body. You are not able to flush it out, neither can you clean it up. The illness of self-absorbed negativity is overpowering, that their nucleus of mind and body seem to sync so well. They dwell within it every time. You may have come across someone like that too, I am sure.
Being around someone like that for the first time, gives me the sense of compassion. I try to give sufficient time for them to understand the changes they need to make for themselves. The objective is for their pre-existing negative behaviors to be slowly be eradicated within a given timeline. However, meeting or being in touch with them on a few occasions, they seem to constantly breathe and speak on everything that they find negative. It is just gloomy days ahead for them, in every conversation.
For example, their work, family, friends and even their direction of life. Everything, if it becomes a subject of discussion, is just negative. What becomes an initial challenge is when they approach you with the notion of starting their business and want to hear your opinion. They want someone to talk to about it, which of course I do not have an issue to lend an ear for it. I stand by what I say, knowledge is to be shared.
From the start to the end of the conversation, they have pre-conceived ideas that in general, business is controlled by a group of people. They feel that there is no opportunity for a specific race and everyone around them is sabotaging somehow. They are not developing the mindset to see the growing opportunities, instead already failing from the start. That is not how anyone should even visualize if they are planning to explore a business venture.

anything from my mind, that is not needed.
Have you seen a cartoon character that melts away under duress? Yup, that happens to me too, occasionally. You will be watching your wrist watch, hoping someone will call in, or quickly find an excuse to say that you need to go for another meeting. Inconsiderate as it sounds, I believe that once you identify overwhelming negative traits in people who do not want to help themselves, but expect everything around them to change persistently, you need to move away from such people. Of course, you have the right to agree to disagree here.
It can be mentally and physically exhausting to be around someone like that. I do recuperate quickly, because I have learned the skills to offload negativities from my hearing, sight and mind. I have good lifetime teachers from whom I have learnt to hold a strong mental and emotional grit. I learnt the ability to reconstruct myself, as and when needed, to continuously succeed in my present lifetime journey. Thus, I can quickly re-energize myself in return.
You may consider this approach, using mental switches to help you to progress in different stages in life. It becomes really useful, whenever you face your challenges so that you do not carry the burden of negativities that you may have experienced. In return, the switches also allow you to create new gateways to Positive Attitude.
