A scientific research found that at a very stressful and fearful point of challenge, once repeated, the person quickly gets acclimatized. They gain the confidence and ability to face the repeated challenge better. Another study compared people with professional dance experience with novice once. During a competition, the amount of stress within them are no different. The thought of winning and losing remains a playing card in their mind and body.
Here is where the exceptional one win. They have the ability to perform when the demand is placed on them. They are able to not break under pressure. It is because they are confident and have faith within themselves and their partner, in the case of the dance competition, that they will be able to do their utmost best performance. They have visualized their dance routine to win.

You have to trust in your abilities. You will give yourself some time, so that if you have some issues in which you might not have an immediate answer to resolve it, you are still able to command the tasks well. Let’s take a pilot for an example. For all the training, thousands of flight hours clocked in real time, they are still required to be tested every six months to twelve months by the FAA, depending on the pilot’s age.
Even with all these tests and experiences, a pilot and his team can be confronted with an unusual circumstance in the air. A sudden failure in the plane’s mechanical system, engine damage, lighting strikes or even terrorist hijacking the plane. They fly out with great confidence that all is checked and it’s good to go. What happens in real time, is something else. However, their reaction towards the hazard they are now faced, will be become the challenge to overcome.
Historically, many pilots have been able to land the plane safely with one engine still working, landing on water and even when the wheels hydraulic failed. They excelled at the moment of their challenge using their ability to overcome the pressure they are faced with. It is indeed a huge task to remain calm under stress, but it is a great advantage indeed. Such skills allow you to process the situation with clarity and react better.
There are some job interviews that you may be asked, “ Are you able to work under high stress? “. The employer may conduct personality and psychology tests amongst other evaluations before offering the person the task that they believe can be handled by them well under expected situations. In reality, when they are faced with the actual challenge, only then the real outcome can be taken into account. Many organizations like to conduct simulation drills, to ensure that at any one time, the response and safety measures are within expectations.
I did say acclimatize, right? You will learn to be more accustomed to react and make necessary adjustments in a calculated manner when a sudden new change takes place, an unpredictable circumstance, without having a panic attack. You have learned to remain reasonably calm, and start to breakdown challenge faced with structured approaches. Do not task yourself to overcome challenges with built-up anger. You may get your decisions disarrayed.
Some people overcome their own challenges when they become aware of their reality. They begin to commit to their Positive Attitudes from this realization. If they continuously build determination and consistency within them, they will not fall back to their procrastinations.
As much as I encourage you to face your challenges with a positive mindset, it is not the easiest to do. Some challenges are so hard, that the impact can be really overwhelming to yourself. Here is where you need to trust the people around you, who will be there to be of help. Do not isolate yourself in these circumstances.
Then again, do not just go to support groups to talk out about your issues, wanting people to listen, but in return, you are not going to make any positive changes in yourself. Join a group of people who have sufficient experiences in overcoming their challenges. By doing so, you can learn quickly, absorb their positive values and make changes in yourself confidently.
The challenge faced is not the issue. It is how you compose yourself to overcome it.
