Noble Living

Noble living is a quality of oneself. Someone indicated to be a noble person is easily identified. They display positive character and attitude, having a generous nature, reflecting empathy and thoughtfulness. They are kind, caring for the welfare of others, helping out whenever possible for the needy. They may not be wealthy, but they are more than willing to share what they have for someone in need. These people are said to be noble souls, because the selflessness comes from within.

Living is not without suffering for many. Suffering, by itself, is not sacred. It is not the sacrifice you have done, giving up the things you should and would like to have done. It is what you have decided to do, when a decision need to be made at that time and perhaps to alleviate the consequences of your future as well.

Many of times, people throw this familiar sentence whenever they are in an argument or defending what they have done so far. They will say, “ I have sacrificed so much for you “. You are not a sacrificial lamb or someone to be killed in believe to appease the Mayan Gods. There is no common goodness in any of these. Should you slaughter an animal for the purpose of distributing food for the needy, it is social contribution and welfare undertaking.

If you are injured from an accident or having physical ailment, you may be suffering in pain. Some see it as a learning, because you did something you should not have, and thus will not repeat the same in future. So, suffering in many instances will also be a learning process for you to overcome your challenges.

When you look into the circumstances you are facing with a Positive Attitude, your path to elevate yourself from the same can have more clarity. Also remember, help is available when asked. Do not hesitate to ask for some form of help, guidance and motivation, to ensure that you are not drowning yourself, when a life jacket is just within your reach.

It is nice to be important, but it is important to be nice !

Paul Wilkinson, house owner in Grand Designs UK, Season 20, Episode 2

Whatever you do, remember to take a moment to think and ask yourself this question, “ Is there any benefit to others in what I do? “. This is a noble act of selflessness. If you do not take self-importance as your influence, instead considering the importance of others in your thoughts and actions, both the recipient and yourself will be very much contended with what you do. By me saying this, I am not asking you to please others in the process of having yourself suffering in misery. The contentment is noted here for mutual benefits. Just as I have also said before, do not say YES, when you want to say NO! Suffering is not sacred.

One of the reasons I take time to watch programs like Grand Designs UK and Junior MasterChef Australia, for example, is to see how the participants overcome their challenges. In Grand Designs UK, the property owners sometimes come with building ideas beyond the norm. The challenges are limitless, but they foresee the completion of the vision they already have in their mind, come to reality. They hold their grit right to the end, overcoming one challenge after the other. The setbacks sometimes taking months or even years, but towards the end, the house is completed as they have envisioned.

In Junior MasterChef Australia, the children are generally between the age of 8 to 14 years old. They did not graduate from Le Cordon Bleu, or worked in a top ranked restaurants. They had their passion in cooking from an early age and spinning out dishes that are utterly amazing. They have taken great effort to continuously experiment many recipes, whilst enjoying what they do best. The judges are flabbergasted with the skills presented by these your talents. So am I. They are noble to their true findings, which is reflected by their passion !

Noble Living is your personal choice. How you decide on it, decides the nature of your surroundings.
